28 January European Data Protection Day.

28th of January is celebrated each year as the European Data Protection Day, aiming to inform and educate European citizens about the significance of their personal data protection and promote organisations’ duty to respect natural persons’ privacy. 
The protection of debtors’, customers’, personnel’, and associates’ personal data is central to doValue Greece, and is manifested through the application of measures consistent with data protection legislation, and the adoption of a structured data protection framework, which consists of the following:
  • Internal policies, procedures and control mechanisms focusing at the protection of personal data
  • Technical and organisational measures aiming at the security of personal data
  • Processing of personal data based on the principles of transparency, confidentiality and necessity/minimisation of the data being collected and transmitted
  • Continuous training and awareness raising of its personnel
  • Establishment of direct communication channels facilitating natural persons’ exercise of their lawful rights
