In 2006, the Council of Europe decided to launch the Data Protection Day, to be celebrated each year on the 28th of January, in order to raise awareness and promote privacy and data protection best practices for the protection of personal data. 
 

On 28 January 2022, the 16th edition of Data Protection Day will be celebrated globally. 
 

The Council of Europe, initiator of this important celebration, continues to play a leading role by encouraging and showcasing initiatives held on this occasion. You can find more information at the following link https://www.coe.int/en/web/data-protection/data-protection-day.

doValue celebrates to the European Data Protection Day reminding that personal data of its clients, debtors, personnel, and associates, are fully and strictly respected and processed, in compliance with the regulatory framework for the handling of personal data throughout the European Economic Area. We collect and process personal data in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency and always implement the appropriate measures for their protection, acting in full compliance with the relevant legislation by adopting a structured data protection framework which consists of the following:
 

  • Internal procedures, polices and control mechanisms focusing at the protection and security of personal data  
  • Technical and organisational measures aiming at the security of personal data
  • Processing of personal data based on the principles of transparency, confidentiality and necessity/minimisation of the data being collected and transmitted
  • Continuous training and awareness raising of its personnel 
  • Establishment of direct communication channels facilitating natural persons’ exercise of their lawful rights 
     

The key to the protection of the personal data processed by doValue, besides the adoption of technical and organizational measures, is primarily its people. 
 

The respect of natural persons’ privacy in combination with the implementation of a strong data protection and security framework is doValue’s top priority.
