Extension of State contribution period for the Bridge Programme and new amendments

If you are already entitled to the Bridge subsidy programme under Law 4714/2020, you may receive a subsidy for an additional 3 months. Furthermore, the amount considered as timely payment under the two programmes (Bridge and Bridge II) has been amended. Lastly, the deadline to settle a non-performing loan under the Bridge II programme has been extended (Law 4790/2021).

Extension of State contribution period

The extension applies to individuals and businesses deemed as entitled to the State contribution, pursuant to Articles 71-83 of Law 4714/2020 (A/148). In these cases, the payment is extended for another 3 months:

a) For the 1st subsidy category, performing loans without arrears or loans with debts up to 90 days past due on 29/02/2020, the State contribution amounts to 40% of the monthly instalment.
b) For the 2nd subsidy category, loans with debts over 90 days past due on 29/02/2020, the State contribution amounts to 35% of the monthly instalment.
c) For the 3rd subsidy category, denounced loans on 29/02/2020, the State contribution amounts to 20% of the monthly instalment.

Note that the monitoring period for the debtor’s compliance with their obligations begins as soon as the contribution period is completed.
